KJ NOONS vs. JORGE GURGEL

Fight Overview:  Skilled boxer KJ Noons looks to keep his winning streak alive against UFC veteran Jorge Gurgel.  Noons is skilled but one dimensional, whereas Gurgel is well-rounded but refuses to fight like it.

Gurgel’s Strengths:  Gurgel has great cardio and a very good ground game.

Gurgel’s Weaknesses:  He might as well have no ground game, because he would rather stand and trade, something he is not equipped to do.

Noons’ Strengths:  Noons has extremely crisp and technical boxing, with great angles, great footwork, great handspeed, and great accuracy.

Noons’ Weaknesses:  He can’t really do much besides box.

The Verdict:  Gurgel could make this interesting by testing Noons’ ground game, but that is a pipe dream.  Instead he will stand and try to outbox Noons, something he is woefully incapable of doing, and get lumped up badly for his trouble.  Noons by decision.
