PHIL DAVIS vs. TIM BOETSCH

Fight Overview:  Undefeated prospect Phil Davis faces tough journeyman Tim Boetsch.  Davis has all the tools to be a champion, but Boetsch is a big guy with solid Muay Thai who is capable of testing him in the standup.

Boetsch's Strengths:  Boetsch has good striking, both at range and in the clinch, and is a tough, strong guy with a solid chin.

Boetsch's Weaknesses:  He doesn't have much wrestling and his cardio is worse than suspect.

Davis' Strengths:  Davis has dominant wrestling, positioning, and ground and pound to go along with solid punching and submissions.

Davis' Weaknesses:  Thusfar in his career he hasn't really shown any, although his chin has never really been tested.

The Verdict:  Davis is way too much for Boetsch.  He will wear him out with takedowns and top control, then finish him once he gasses.  Davis by T/KO.
