TUF 12 Finale – Johny Hendricks vs. Rick Story Prediction

JOHNY HENDRICKS vs. RICK STORY

Fight Overview:  Two up and coming young Welterweight prospects go at it as Rick Story looks to put the first blemish on Johny Hendricks’ undefeated record.  Both of these guys are young, physical, and well-rounded, so this should be a good fight.

Story’s Strengths:  Story has decent punching, good wrestling, good ground and pound, and good submissions.

Story’s Weaknesses:  He is going to be outmatched in the striking department.

Hendricks’ Strengths:  Hendricks has very good punching to go along with good cardio, wrestling, and ground and pound.

Hendricks’ Weaknesses:  His submission game is not on the same level as Story’s.

The Verdict:  Stylistically, this matchup favors Hendricks.  Story is a little better on the ground but doesn’t have the tools to force a ground fight, so he is going to have to deal with Hendricks’ superior punching.  Expect Hendricks to control the action for a unanimous decision.
