UFC on Versus 3 – Mark Munoz vs. CB Dollaway Prediction

C.B. Dolloway vs. Mark Munoz

Fight Overview:  Two skilled former NCAA wrestlers will go at in the co-main event.  Dolloway is the superior jiu-jitsu grappler, but Munoz is bigger, stronger, and has better standup, so this is going to be a competitive fight.

Dolloway’s Strengths:  Dolloway is a very good wrestler with solid technical boxing and good submissions.

Dolloway’s Weaknesses:  His submission defense is more than questionable, and he is going to be giving up a bit of size and strength.

Munoz’s Strengths:  Munoz has great boxing with heavy hands and top-notch wrestling.

Munoz’s Weaknesses:  Munoz is nowhere near Dolloway’s level in terms of submissions.

Fight Overview:  I think the style clash favors Munoz here.  He is the better striker while Dolloway is the better grappler, but for Dolloway to capitalize on that he is going to have to take down a bigger, stronger guy who is arguably a better wrestler also.  I think Munoz will use his wrestling defensively to keep this a standup affair, and he will box Dolloway around for a unanimous decision win.
